CK5 approaches website structure differently from traditional CMS systems.
Instead of creating a separate physical web page for every topic—for example, myweb.com/services/service_1—CK5 uses a single generic page with multiple virtual instances. Each instance is “keyed” to the Main Content Object being displayed.
Because the Content Object controls the page instance, CK5 allows editors to manage all metadata directly on that object. This includes the title, descriptions, social tags, and structured data.
When an editor updates the Main Content Object, CK5 automatically uses that information to create accurate, consistent metadata for the virtual page:
In short: CK5 ensures that all SEO tools attach to the Content Object—not the underlying template.
This prevents duplication, avoids conflicting metadata, and ensures each article behaves like its own real web page in search engines.
The CK5 Engine includes a built-in routine that outputs all metadata cleanly and consistently in the page header. This means every page instance—no matter how many there are—always has correct, complete metadata without extra configuration.
